thanks Jeremy for sharing....
interesting video.....not what we are used to ...and not what we are trained to expect.....he's playing a dangerous game here....in general, I think, the audience doesn't want serious, sober (no pun intended) respectful treatment of celebrities......we want to hear that Britney's crazy....that Bill Clinton's a womanizer....that George W is stupid....that Micheal Jackson is a freak show.....that's what our culture has taught us and take us off that path at your peril.....don't be surprised if they stop watching .....you've dumbed us down too long....we don't know anything else

Actually I'm pretty sure that, taht episode has been out quite awhile ago, and peopel keep coming back. True usually his monolouge can have me in tears, and that one had me on the verge of boredom, but I'm going to keep coming back, becaue I know that he's still hilarious. And its also nice to know that he's not afraid to "speak from the heart" every once in a while. I really do belive that he's hilarious though, specifically because the obviously scripted stuff isn't very funny, so I can't belive that it's script writers that make his monolouges good.
Its true that next to nobody would watch a show that was completely about serious sobre issues, but if its a show that is usually funny and only ocassionally goes into serious mode it is probably ok. We all know that he's funny and nobody is going to stop watching him just because he says that we shouldn't make fun of Britney. People still love him.
